Microsoft Office 365 Administrator
We seek a skilled Microsoft Office 365 Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management, support, and maintenance of our Office 365 environment. This role will involve configuring and managing Office 365 applications, implementing security protocols, and providing technical support to end-users. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Office 365 administration, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to improving user experiences and system efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Office 365 Administration: Manage and maintain the Office 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and other Office 365 applications.
- User Management: Administer user accounts, licenses, groups, and permissions in the Office 365 Admin Center and Active Directory.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support to end-users and resolve issues related to Office 365 applications, connectivity, and security.
- Security and Compliance: Implement security measures and compliance policies within the Office 365 environment, including data loss prevention (DLP), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and conditional access policies.
- Collaboration Tools: Manage and support collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint, including creating and managing channels, groups, and permissions.
- System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor the health, performance, and capacity of Office 365 services and address any issues proactively.
- Updates and Upgrades: Ensure that the Office 365 environment is kept up-to-date with the latest features and patches, coordinating with Microsoft for updates and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures for Office 365 administration.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and guidance to end-users on Office 365 applications, best practices, and security protocols.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as an Office 365 Administrator or similar role, with a strong understanding of Office 365 applications and services.
- Proficiency in Office 365 Admin Center, PowerShell scripting for Office 365 administration, and Active Directory.
- Experience with security and compliance features within Office 365, including DLP, MFA, and conditional access.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and OneDrive management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to delivering excellent user support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- Office 365 certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) are a plus.
- Knowledge of hybrid environments with on-premises Active Directory and Azure AD integration.
- Experience with third-party Office 365 tools for backup, compliance, and administration.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and related integrations.
