As a SCADA Developer, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and enhancement of SCADA systems, particularly focusing on Ignition platforms. You will be responsible for translating P&ID’s (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and PFD’s (Process Flow Diagrams) into SCADA graphical HMI screens, ensuring accurate and effective visualizations for monitoring and control. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Ignition SCADA systems and proficiency in Python scripting and SQL database design.

Primary Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement SCADA systems using Ignition software, ensuring seamless integration with PLCs and other industrial control systems.
Translate P&ID’s and PFD’s into intuitive and functional SCADA graphical HMI screens for real-time monitoring and process control.
Configure Vision and Perspective UIs for optimal user experience and system functionality.
Configure and manage alarms, develop reports, and use the Ignition API to extend system capabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather system requirements, define project scopes, and deliver solutions on time.
Develop custom HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screens using Ignition for real-time monitoring, control, and reporting.
Configure gateway setups, manage production/backup environments, and ensure effective project management for SCADA implementations.
Provide technical expertise and support for system commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization.
Perform testing, documentation, and upgrades to ensure system performance, security, and scalability.
Stay current on SCADA, IoT, and Industry 4.0 technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
Offer on-site and remote support for client systems, including training and troubleshooting.

Required Experience:

Ignition Core or Gold Certification is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience with Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA systems.
Proven skills in Python scripting and SQL database design.
Experience with WonderWare, Cygnet, or Siemens is nice to have.
Experience in translating P&ID’s and PFD’s into SCADA graphical HMI screens is required.
Experience in configuring alarms, developing reports, and using the Ignition API.
Ability to configure Vision and Perspective UIs.
Experience managing production/backup environments, gateway configurations, and project management.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities.
